EP Group Launches Weidmüller Relays in the GCC, Opening New Markets
February 15, 2019

In 2019, EP Group brought Weidmüller relays to the GCC in earnest — and the market responded immediately. In its very first year trading relays alone, EP Group generated €500,000 in turnover.

Relays are the quiet workhorses of electrical and automation systems, switching and protecting circuits across countless applications. Weidmüller’s relay range pairs reliability with the kind of precision that critical installations demand.

What made the 2019 launch significant was not just the revenue, but the new markets it opened. EP Group introduced Weidmüller relays into segments and customers that had never before specified the brand, expanding its footprint across the Gulf.

Achieving half a million euros on a single product category in year one validated EP Group’s strategy of going deep rather than wide — building genuine expertise in each line and converting that knowledge into market share.

Behind the numbers was disciplined groundwork: correct specification, available stock, technical support, and the credibility EP Group had earned with engineers and contractors across the region.

The relay success also strengthened EP Group’s standing with Weidmüller itself, demonstrating that the German manufacturer had found a partner capable of turning a product introduction into measurable, repeatable growth.

For regional customers, it meant a dependable local source for high-quality relays — with the technical guidance to select the right product and the supply reliability to keep projects moving.

Relays became a beachhead. The momentum generated in 2019 set the stage for EP Group to roll out further Weidmüller product families and, ultimately, to claim a leadership position in the GCC.
